MESSAGE
Just about everything can be a message: words, images, objects, people, events. But, we normally consider words and images as the most common messages. My studies in philosophy, especially in the analytical department at the University of Houston, centered around the meanings of words, and I got in the habit of closely considering definitions. Wittgenstein was much admired in analytical philosophy at the time (not sure about today), and I learned to appreciate his perspective. The close examination of a message was good preparation for my future career in advertising.
